Remember me saying I went to Yun Jun's house for steamboat yesterday?

It was for Debra's Birthday!! I hope she enjoyed herself..

It was super fun. We played Majong after that too!!

I ate till I was super full.

In case you all though what I did there was eat, eat, eat and eat, then you are WRONG!!!

I went shopping for the ingredients and prepared them as well!!! (with Yun Jun of cos)

We bought lotsa normal steamboat ingredients.

BUT, there was one special one and that one my first time buying it!!!!!

LIVE prawns!!!

As in really live from the pool like this.

I, obviously, wasn't in the picture. And there was actually people queueing up to get the live prawns and this photo was taken when those live prawns were almost all snatched up!!!

I'm a pro leh?

Those prawns were really live and jumping and I can feel it, when I brought my bag of prawns to weigh.

My bag of LIVE prawns, almost 1kg, only costs S$8.19!! Value for money!!!

They are really live and jumping, NOT like those on the tray...

All dead and motionless.

I can prove that my prawns were really alive!!

Because one jumped out of the bag, onto my trolley.

TADA!! With its legs and feelers still moving...

And it survived till the very end, even till we paid our purchases...

Notice the grey prawn at the empty part of the trolley.

And till that point, its legs were still struggling!!!

How strong they are!!!

And theses were all our buys!!

Enough for 8 to eat, I say. Though we didn't finish everything in the end.

And we took a cab back to YJ's house, as it was raining cats and dogs.

And if you think the prawns would have died now...

NO!!! They're still alive!!!

They look like dead prawns.

But their legs still moving and some managed to jump out when YJ and I was washing them!!

I felt that I sinned by killing them.

That's when I only ate 1 prawn throughout the whole night. Partially also because I was lazy to 'unshell' them.

YJ cut all the meat while I cut all the vegetables!!!

There was capsicum! All colours! Red, yellow and green!! Like traffic lights!!

See how beautiful I also sliced the Japanese cucumber? Hee hee.

I also cut the Mushroom's 'head'. As in the harder part of the mushroom.

Those mushroom somehow looked like they grew from the chopping board.

All my veges!!
